FROM MARCH 2015 THE MEDICAL HOME APPOINTMENTS SERVICE WILL HAVE SOME CHANGES IN ORDER TO BE IMPROVED. The Hospital Scheme aims to improve this service by creating a more appropriate response, extending the zone of coverage and optimize the arrival time of the doctor. EXTENSION OF THE COVERAGE AREA Tahona and other private neighbourhoods by the Interbalnearia are incorporated (not including Ciudad de la Costa and Barra de Carrasco) COORDINATION AND RECEIVING CALLS From Monday to Friday For calls received from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 11.00, the doctor can be expected to arrive until 16.00 hs (approx.) For calls received from 11.00 to 15.00 hs, the doctor can be expected to arrive until 20 hs (approx.) Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays Calls will be received from 8:00 to 12:00 hs, the doctor can be expected to arrive until 18.00 hs (approx.) This regime does not apply in the case of the attending physician who can offer other alternatives as available. TO REMEMBER • The medical home appointment service is not an emergency service. • Not allowed for regular check ups • If the patient is not in at home when the doctor arrives, the visit can not be done the same day.
